Allison is a senior at East Ridge High School. In 2020, she supported the group by creating and editing presentations; most notably, she created a detailed and comprehensive presentation summarizing COVID-19 diagnostics and detection methods for the public. Allison is also a research assistant for Dr. Jose Debes’ research team at the University of Minnesota. She performed qualitative analysis for this team’s study assessing the impact of COVID-19 on African healthcare workers and won the UMN Global Health Poster Showcase Outstanding Poster Award for an undergraduate. Outside of research, Allison is involved in choir, theatre, speech, and tennis; serves on her school district’s advisory councils; and volunteers with senior citizens. She will start her undergraduate studies in fall 2021 and plans to major in biology on the Pre-Med track and minor in Spanish and music.
