This vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) is one of the Quantum Design Physical Properties Measurement System (PPMS) family of instruments. It is a fast and sensitive DC magnetometer. It uses a spuerconducting magnet. Some technical details are as follows:

Multipurpose testing stage with GMW 5201 electromagnet. Manual magnet rotation and displacement allow for in-plane 360-degree field and perpendicular field up to 2000 Oe and 3000 Oe, respectively. The stage can accommodate up to 2 GSG probe plus 2 DC probe simultaneously.
